WYOMING, Mich. — Fall 2026. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan in Wyoming, the envelope that matters most this month is the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC). It tells you what your plan will look like on Jan. 1, 2027 — and it is the starting point for any decision you make before the Annual Enrollment Period closes on Dec. 7, 2026.
Key takeaways
- The Annual Enrollment Period runs Oct. 15 – Dec. 7, 2026; any change you make takes effect Jan. 1, 2027.
- If you do nothing and your plan is offered again in 2027, it renews automatically with the changes described in your ANOC.
- If your plan is not being offered in 2027, you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period to switch — you are not stuck.
- The 2027 Part D out-of-pocket cap is $2,400 (up from $2,100 in 2026), and the maximum Part D deductible is $700 (up from $615).
Kent County, which includes Wyoming, has a crowded Medicare Advantage market: 13 carriers offer 80 plans for 2026, and the 2027 lineup by carrier and plan type is listed in the table on this page. The point of this article is not to pick a plan for you — it is to help you read what is in front of you and know what to do if your plan is not coming back.
Start with the ANOC, not the ads
Every Medicare Advantage and Part D plan sends an ANOC by late September. It compares your 2026 plan side-by-side with the 2027 version: premium, deductible, drug tier changes, provider network notes, and extra benefits like dental, vision or over-the-counter allowances.
Read three things first: the monthly premium, the drug list (formulary) for anything you take regularly, and whether your doctors and preferred hospital are still in-network. If all three look the same or better to you, doing nothing is a valid choice — your plan will renew on Jan. 1, 2027.
What "new for 2027" and "not returning" actually mean
Carriers file plan changes with CMS each year. Some plans are brand new, some are renamed, some are consolidated into another plan, and some are discontinued in a county. Kent County's finalized 2027 roster — including any plans new for 2027 and any that are not returning — is reflected in the table below.
If your plan is not returning, your carrier will send a non-renewal notice separately from the ANOC. That letter is important: it opens a Special Enrollment Period that runs from Dec. 8, 2026 through the end of February 2027, giving you extra time beyond the Dec. 7 deadline to pick another Medicare Advantage plan or to return to Original Medicare and add a stand-alone Part D drug plan.
The Kent County lineup, by carrier
For 2026, Wyoming residents choose from plans offered by Aetna (CVS Health), Align Senior Care, Blue Care Network, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Centene (WellCare), Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health, Humana, Longevity Health Plan, McLaren Medicare, Molina Healthcare of Michigan, Priority Health Medicare, Trinity Health Plan of Michigan, and UnitedHealthcare.
By plan type, the mix skews toward PPOs (45), with HMOs (17), HMO-POS (17) and one PFFS plan rounding it out. Twenty are Special Needs Plans (SNPs) — designed for people with Medicaid too (D-SNP), a qualifying chronic condition (C-SNP), or who live in an institutional setting (I-SNP). Every plan available in the county includes prescription drug coverage.
The 2027 plan list, as filed with CMS, is displayed in the table on this page. Names, plan types, and drug coverage are shown exactly as CMS lists them.
How to decide, step by step
1. Read your ANOC and highlight anything different from 2026. 2. List your prescriptions and doctors. These are the two biggest reasons a plan stops fitting. 3. Use the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. Enter your ZIP code and drugs to see 2027 costs for every plan in Kent County. 4. Check plan documents — the Summary of Benefits and the formulary — before you switch. 5. Decide by Dec. 7, 2026. If your current plan is not being renewed, you have until the end of February 2027 to make a new choice.
A few 2027 numbers worth knowing
Two Part D figures are already confirmed for 2027: the out-of-pocket cap on covered drug costs rises to $2,400 (from $2,100 in 2026), and the maximum Part D deductible a plan can charge rises to $700 (from $615 in 2026). The coverage gap ("donut hole") remains eliminated — Part D has three phases now.
If drug costs are uneven month to month, ask about the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan, which lets you spread covered out-of-pocket drug costs across the calendar year at no added charge.
The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, along with the IRMAA income brackets, have not been released yet. CMS typically publishes those numbers in November — check medicare.gov for the official figures before you finalize any decision.
