Privacy Policy
Effective July 24, 2026. Last updated July 2026.
MyMedicarePlans.org ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website MyMedicarePlans.org (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have. MyMedicarePlans.org is a privately owned educational website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the federal Medicare program or any government agency.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you give us. If you request a quote, comparison, or to be connected with a licensed insurance agent, you may provide details such as your name, ZIP code, age, phone number, and similar information needed to route your request.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring page, through cookies and similar technologies (including Google Tag Manager and analytics tools).
- Call information. If you call a phone number listed on the Site, your call may be routed through a call-tracking service and may be recorded or monitored for quality, training, and compliance, where permitted by law. You will be notified at the start of the call where required.
How we use information
- To connect you, at your request, with licensed insurance agents or partners who can help you compare and enroll in coverage;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and its content;
- To measure the performance of our pages and marketing;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How information is shared
We may share the information you submit through a quote or contact request with licensed insurance agents, brokers, or marketing partners (including through lead-matching platforms such as MediaAlpha) so they can respond to your request. We may also share data with service providers who operate the Site on our behalf (analytics, hosting, call routing), and as required by law. We do not sell information to unrelated third parties outside of these quote/connection services.
When you submit a request, the partner who receives it will handle your information under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any agent or company you choose to work with.
Your choices and rights
- Cookies. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some parts of the Site may not function properly without them.
- Do Not Call / opt out. If you ask not to be contacted, we and our partners will honor applicable opt-out requests. You may also register with the National Do Not Call Registry.
- State privacy rights. Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain sharing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Data retention and security
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, and we use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults making Medicare decisions and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page.
