Las Vegas, Nev. — The Medicare Advantage lineup in Clark County is shifting for the 2027 plan year, and the Annual Notice of Change letters landing in mailboxes now spell out what that means for each member. According to a comparison of CMS's Medicare Advantage Landscape Source Files for 2026 and 2027, 11 plans currently sold in Clark County will not return next year, 9 new plans are being added, and 15 existing plans are being renamed. Another 18 plans are changing on things like premium, deductible, plan type or name, while 48 plans continue.

Key takeaways

  • Eleven Medicare Advantage plans in Clark County are not returning for 2027, and nine new plans are being added; the full carrier-by-carrier table is below.
  • Kaiser Permanente and Molina Healthcare of Nevada will not offer Medicare Advantage plans in Clark County next year, so members in those plans must pick a new plan or return to Original Medicare.
  • If your plan is not renewed, you get a Special Enrollment Period that runs through the end of February to switch plans or return to Original Medicare.
  • The Annual Enrollment Period runs Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, and Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment runs Jan. 1 to March 31 for people already in an MA plan.

Two carriers — Kaiser Permanente and Molina Healthcare of Nevada — will not offer Medicare Advantage plans in Clark County next year. Members in any of those plans will need to make a choice during this fall's Annual Enrollment Period or use the Special Enrollment Period that follows a plan non-renewal.

Plans leaving Clark County after 2026

Eleven Medicare Advantage plans currently offered in Clark County are ending after the 2026 plan year. In alphabetical order by carrier, they are:

If you are in one of these plans, you should have already received — or will soon receive — a non-renewal notice from your insurer. That letter is important. Keep it. It's the proof you'll use to take advantage of the Special Enrollment Period described below.

New plans coming to Clark County for 2027

Nine new Medicare Advantage plans are being introduced in Clark County for the 2027 plan year:

Several of these are Dual-eligible or Chronic-condition Special Needs Plans, which have specific eligibility rules. If a name catches your eye, check with the insurer or on medicare.gov to confirm you qualify before you enroll.

Renamed plans — same plan, new label

Fifteen plans in Clark County are being renamed for 2027. A renamed plan is not a new plan; it's the same contract with a different label on it. But the new name is what you'll see on medicare.gov's plan finder this fall, so it's worth knowing which is which. Notable renames include:

Because the Aetna Prime and Prime Extra names have effectively swapped between two plans, members in those should read their ANOC especially carefully to know which plan they'll actually be in next year.

What changed and what didn't

CMS's file shows 18 additional Clark County plans have a change on premium, deductible, plan type or name for 2027. The Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) your carrier sends every September is the document that spells out the specifics — what the premium and deductible will be, whether the plan type is changing, whether a benefit or the drug formulary is different. If you haven't read yours, that's the single most useful hour you'll spend before Dec. 7.

Forty-eight plans in Clark County are continuing with no name change and no change to the tracked fields in the CMS landscape file. That doesn't mean nothing about them is different — benefits and networks can shift year to year — so the ANOC is still worth a look.

The table on this page lists every 2027 Medicare Advantage plan available in Clark County, by carrier.

What to do if your plan is leaving

If your Medicare Advantage plan is one of the 11 not returning to Clark County, you have two enrollment windows:

Annual Enrollment Period, Oct. 15 – Dec. 7. During this period, anyone with Medicare can switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan, join a stand-alone Part D drug plan, or return to Original Medicare. Coverage starts Jan. 1.

Special Enrollment Period for plan non-renewal. When CMS confirms your plan is not being renewed, you get a Special Enrollment Period that runs from Dec. 8 through the end of February. During this window you can choose a different Medicare Advantage plan or move to Original Medicare (with or without a Part D plan). If you don't act, you may be moved back to Original Medicare on Jan. 1 with no drug coverage, so making an active choice is better than waiting.

If you had a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policy before joining your current Advantage plan, ask about your rights to return to Medigap coverage — leaving an Advantage plan that's ending can trigger a guaranteed-issue right in Nevada under federal rules.
