NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — If you have a Medicare Advantage plan in North Las Vegas, this fall's mail is worth opening. Based on the latest CMS Medicare Advantage Landscape files comparing 2026 to 2027, 11 Advantage plans available in Clark County this year will not be offered in 2027, 9 plans are new, and 15 have new names. Another 18 are continuing but changing on premium, deductible, plan type or name. If your plan is on the leaving list, you have a special window — running through the end of February — to pick something else without waiting for next fall.
Key takeaways
- North Las Vegas is in Clark County, where 11 Medicare Advantage plans are leaving after 2026, 9 are new for 2027, and 15 have been renamed.
- Two carriers — Kaiser Permanente and Molina Healthcare of Nevada — will not offer Medicare Advantage plans in Clark County in 2027.
- If your plan is not renewing, you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period that runs through Feb. 28, 2027; most other members use the Oct. 15–Dec. 7 Annual Enrollment Period.
- Read your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) — it lists exactly what is changing on your plan for the coming year.
What is actually changing in Clark County
North Las Vegas is inside Clark County, and Medicare Advantage plans are sold at the county level. So when CMS releases its yearly plan file, the changes apply to every ZIP code in the county — North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Henderson and the rest.
For 2027, CMS's file shows:
- 11 plans leaving after 2026
- 9 new plans arriving for 2027
- 15 plans keeping the same core plan but changing their name
- 18 plans continuing with a change to premium, deductible, plan type or name (the exact difference is in your ANOC)
- 48 plans continuing largely unchanged
The full lineup is in the table below on this page.

Plans with new names (same idea, new label)
Fifteen plans are keeping their same basic structure but going by a new name. If you get an ANOC that seems to say your plan is "gone" — check whether it's really just been renamed. Renamed plans for 2027 include several from Aetna, most of Alignment Health's Clark County lineup, Wellcare's Dual Access plan, one Select Health plan, and two UHC Dual Complete plans. The full list of old-and-new names appears in the plan table below.
Renaming does not automatically move you to a different plan. You'll be kept on the same plan under its new name, but you should still read the ANOC to see if premium, deductible, or benefits are changing.
What you should do
1. Watch the mail in late September and October. Every Medicare Advantage member gets an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) that spells out what — if anything — changes for the coming year. That's where "a change exists" turns into specifics.
2. Confirm your doctors and drugs. Even a continuing plan can adjust its network or drug list. Check that your providers and prescriptions are still covered for 2027.
3. Know your window.
- Annual Enrollment Period: Oct. 15 – Dec. 7, 2026. Anyone with Medicare can join, switch or drop an Advantage or Part D plan for a Jan. 1 start.
- Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment: Jan. 1 – March 31, 2027. If you're already in an Advantage plan, you get one switch (to another Advantage plan or back to Original Medicare with a Part D plan).
- Special Enrollment Period for a non-renewing plan: If your plan is on the leaving list above, you have a SEP that runs through Feb. 28, 2027 to pick a new Advantage or Part D plan, or to move to Original Medicare with a Medigap and Part D plan.
4. Get one-on-one help if you want it. Nevada's State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), called Nevada SHIP, gives free, unbiased Medicare counseling. You can also call 1-800-MEDICARE or use the Plan Finder at medicare.gov.
A few program facts worth knowing
These aren't tied to any one plan — they apply across Medicare:
- The Part D out-of-pocket cap is $2,100 in 2026.
- The Part D maximum deductible is $615.
- The old coverage gap ("donut hole") is gone as of 2025; Part D now has three phases.
- The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan lets you spread drug costs across the year in monthly amounts, at no extra charge.
- IRMAA surcharges begin above $109,000 in income for a single filer in 2026.
