If your plan name looks a little different this year, that alone is not a red flag — check your Annual Notice of Change to see whether anything about the coverage itself is different.
What to do if your plan is leaving
If your Medicare Advantage plan is on the non-renewal list, you have two enrollment windows to make a move:
- Annual Enrollment Period (Oct. 15 – Dec. 7): Pick a new Medicare Advantage plan, or return to Original Medicare and add a stand-alone Part D drug plan. Your choice takes effect Jan. 1, 2027.
- Special Enrollment Period for a non-renewed plan: Because your plan is ending, CMS grants you an SEP that runs through the end of February 2027 to switch to another Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare with a Part D plan.
If you do nothing, you generally will not be automatically enrolled in a comparable plan — you may end up back on Original Medicare with no drug coverage, which can lead to a late-enrollment penalty later. Take action before the deadlines.
If your plan is continuing but "changing"
Forty-one Miami-Dade plans are continuing but flagged in CMS data as changing on premium, deductible, plan type or name. The Landscape file only signals that a change exists; the details are in your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), mailed each September. Compare that document against:
- Your current prescriptions and pharmacy
- Your primary care doctor and any specialists
- The Part D out-of-pocket cap is $2,100 in 2026 and $2,400 in 2027
- The Part D maximum deductible
