How many Humana Medicare Advantage plans are offered in Riverside for 2027?

Six of the eight include Part D prescription drug coverage; two do not. Humana is not offering a Dual Eligible, Chronic Condition or Institutional Special Needs Plan in the county next year.

What is new or not returning in Humana's 2027 Riverside lineup?
One Humana plan offered in Riverside County in 2026 is not returning for 2027, and one plan — Humana Gold Plus H5619-191 (HMO) — is new for 2027. No Humana plans in the county were renamed.
If you are enrolled in a plan that is ending, Humana is required to send you a notice explaining your options. If your plan is continuing, your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) — mailed in late September — spells out what is changing for 2027: the premium, the deductible, the drug list (formulary), the provider network, and extra benefits like dental or vision. The ANOC is the single most important piece of mail to read this fall.

We cannot publish premiums, copays, deductibles, networks, drug lists or star ratings for any of these plans — those details change year to year and vary by person. Medicare.gov's Plan Finder shows them side by side for your ZIP code.
How do I check a Humana plan against my doctors and prescriptions before Dec. 7?
The fastest way is Medicare.gov's Plan Finder. Enter your ZIP code, add your prescriptions and your preferred pharmacy, and the tool will show each plan's estimated yearly cost, its formulary tiers for your drugs, and whether your pharmacy is preferred. To check doctors, use Humana's own provider directory on its website or call the plan's member services line and ask whether a specific doctor or specialist is in-network for the plan you are considering — not just for Humana generally, because networks differ from plan to plan.
A short checklist for AEP:
1. Read your ANOC and compare 2026 to 2027. 2. List your doctors, hospitals, and every prescription with its dose. 3. Run those through Plan Finder at medicare.gov. 4. Confirm network status directly with the plan. 5. If you want help, call 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048), open 24/7.
What is changing in Medicare drug coverage for 2027?
A few program-wide numbers are already set for 2027. The Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400 in 2027 (up from $2,100 in 2026). The Part D maximum deductible rises to $700 in 2027 (up from $615 in 2026). The Part D national base beneficiary premium for 2027 is $41.33 — that is a formula input Medicare uses, not what any specific plan charges.
The coverage gap (the old "donut hole") is gone — Part D has had three phases since 2025. The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan, which lets you spread drug costs across the calendar year in level monthly bills, continues in 2027 and is optional.
CMS has not yet announced the 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible or the 2027 IRMAA income brackets; those are typically published in November. We will update our Riverside coverage when they are.
What happens if I do nothing by Dec. 7?
If you do nothing and your current plan is being offered again in 2027, you stay in it — your coverage renews Jan. 1, 2027, with the changes described in your ANOC. If your plan is ending, you have a Special Enrollment Period to choose a new plan, and if you do not act you can be returned to Original Medicare, which does not include Part D drug coverage.
There is also a second window: the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period from Jan. 1 through March 31, 2027. During that window, people already in a Medicare Advantage plan can switch to another Medicare Advantage plan once, or drop back to Original Medicare and add a Part D plan.
