What Medicare Advantage plans does UnitedHealthcare offer in North Las Vegas for 2027?
In Clark County, which is the county North Las Vegas belongs to, UnitedHealthcare will offer 15 Medicare Advantage plans for 2027. By plan type, that is 8 HMO-POS plans and 7 PPO plans. Thirteen of the 15 include Part D prescription drug coverage; two do not.
The full roster is in the table below. Plans sold under the AARP Medicare Advantage name and plans sold as UHC Dual Complete, UHC Complete Care and UHC Medicare Advantage are all UnitedHealthcare plans in CMS's data.
What is new, renamed or not returning for 2027?
Three plans are new in the county for 2027: AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx NV-MA2 (HMO-POS), UHC Dual Complete NV-Q3 (PPO D-SNP), and UHC Dual Complete NV-S6 (PPO D-SNP). Two UnitedHealthcare plans offered in 2026 are not returning for 2027.
Two Dual Special Needs plans kept the same shape but changed names: UHC Dual Complete NV-Q1 was UHC Dual Complete NV-S001, and UHC Dual Complete NV-Q2 was UHC Dual Complete NV-S002. A rename is not nothing — the Annual Notice of Change, or ANOC, the plan mailed you in September is the document that tells you exactly what shifted for next year in benefits, drug tiers and cost-sharing.
If a plan you are on is one of the two not returning, you will get a non-renewal notice from the carrier. You can pick a different Medicare Advantage plan during Annual Enrollment, or you can return to Original Medicare and consider a standalone Part D plan.
What Special Needs Plans does UnitedHealthcare offer here in 2027?
UnitedHealthcare will offer 7 Special Needs Plans in Clark County for 2027: 6 Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) for people with both Medicare and Medicaid, and 1 Chronic Condition Special Needs Plan (C-SNP). There are no Institutional SNPs on the UnitedHealthcare lineup here next year.
SNPs have enrollment rules — you have to meet the eligibility (Medicaid status for a D-SNP, a qualifying condition for a C-SNP) — so it is worth confirming you qualify before choosing one. Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE can walk through that.
How do I check a plan against my doctors and prescriptions before December 7?
Use the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. Enter your ZIP code and your drug list, and it will show which plans in Clark County cover those drugs, at what tier, and whether a given doctor or pharmacy is in network. You can also call 1-800-MEDICARE, which is free and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Three practical checks before December 7, 2026:
- Pull up each of your prescriptions by exact name and dose and run them through Plan Finder for the 2027 plan year.
- Call your doctor's office and your preferred pharmacy and ask whether they will be in network for the specific 2027 plan you are considering — in-network status can change from year to year.
- Read the ANOC your current plan sent you; even if you like your plan, the 2027 version may handle a drug or a specialist visit differently.
What is changing in Part D for 2027?
Two Part D numbers for 2027 are already set by CMS. The annual out-of-pocket cap on covered Part D drugs will be $2,400 in 2027, up from $2,100 in 2026. The maximum Part D deductible a plan can charge will be $700 in 2027, up from $615 in 2026. The Part D national base beneficiary premium for 2027 is $41.33 — that is a formula input CMS uses, not the premium any one plan charges.
The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, have not been announced yet. CMS typically publishes those in the fall, usually in November. We are not estimating them.
The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan — the option to spread Part D out-of-pocket costs across monthly payments instead of paying at the pharmacy counter — continues in 2027. You can opt in through your plan.
What happens if I do nothing by December 7, 2026?
If your plan is being offered again in 2027, it renews automatically on January 1, 2027 with the changes described in your ANOC. If your plan is one of the two UnitedHealthcare plans not returning, you will not have coverage from that plan on January 1 and should choose a new plan during Annual Enrollment or during the Special Enrollment Period a non-renewal gives you.
There is also a second window: Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment runs January 1 through March 31, 2027. During that period, someone already in a Medicare Advantage plan can switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan once, or drop back to Original Medicare and add a Part D plan.
