MyMedicarePlans.org is an independent consumer site. We are not Humana, and Humana is one of 10 carriers offering Medicare Advantage plans in the county next year (72 plans in all). This article walks through Humana's lineup only, and how to check any one of them against your own doctors and prescriptions before the deadline.

What Humana Medicare Advantage plans are offered in North Las Vegas for 2027?

Humana is offering 14 Medicare Advantage plans in Clark County, which covers North Las Vegas, for the 2027 plan year. Of those, 8 are HMOs and 6 are PPOs. Thirteen include Part D prescription drug coverage; one PPO is offered without drug coverage.

The table below lists every Humana plan available in the county next year, with its plan type and whether it includes drug coverage. CMS publishes this list in its Medicare Advantage Landscape Source File each fall.

Which Humana plans are Special Needs Plans in Clark County in 2027?

Humana is offering 5 Special Needs Plans (SNPs) in the county for 2027: 3 Dual Eligible SNPs (D-SNPs) for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid, and 2 Chronic Condition SNPs (C-SNPs) built for people living with specific conditions — in Humana's case, diabetes and heart conditions. There are no Institutional SNPs (I-SNPs) in the lineup.

SNPs have their own eligibility rules. A D-SNP requires qualifying Medicaid status; a C-SNP requires a doctor to confirm the qualifying diagnosis. If you're not sure whether you qualify, Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE can walk you through it.

What is new, renamed or not returning from Humana for 2027?

Two Humana plans are new in Clark County for 2027, and no Humana plans are leaving the county. CMS has not flagged any Humana plans in the county as renamed for 2027.

That matters because if you already have a Humana plan and it is returning, you do not have to do anything to stay enrolled — it renews January 1, 2027 with whatever changes Humana made for the new year. Those changes are spelled out in the plan's Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), which the plan is required to mail or send by late September 2026. Read it. Premiums, drug tiers, copays and the provider network can all shift from one year to the next.

How do I check a Humana plan against my doctors and prescriptions?

The most reliable way is the Medicare Plan Finder at Medicare.gov. You enter your ZIP code, type in each prescription (name, dose, how often), choose your pharmacy, and the tool shows you the plan's drug list, tier placement and expected cost for each one. You can do this for any 2027 plan starting October 1, 2026, when plan details are posted.

For doctors, hospitals and specialists, use the plan's own provider directory on Humana.com, or call the plan and ask whether a specific provider is contracted for the exact plan name you're considering — networks differ between an HMO and a PPO even under the same carrier. On an HMO, out-of-network care is generally not covered except in emergencies; on a PPO, you can usually go out of network at a higher cost. If you take a specialty drug or see a specialist regularly, confirm both the medication and the provider before you commit.

Two more quick checks worth doing:

What are the 2027 Medicare numbers I should know?

For 2027, the Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400 (up from $2,100 in 2026), and the Part D maximum deductible is $700 (up from $615 in 2026). CMS has also set the Part D national base beneficiary premium at $41.33 for 2027 — that's a formula input, not what any plan actually charges.

The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, have not been announced yet. CMS typically publishes those in November. The coverage gap (the old "donut hole") has been gone since 2025, and the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan — which lets you spread drug costs across the year in monthly installments — is still available for 2027.

When is the deadline, and what if I do nothing?

The Annual Enrollment Period for 2027 coverage runs October 15 through December 7, 2026. A change you make in that window takes effect January 1, 2027.

If you do nothing and your current plan is returning, you stay on it — with the changes described in the ANOC. If your situation changes later, Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment runs January 1 through March 31, 2027, and lets you switch Medicare Advantage plans or move back to Original Medicare one time.
