How many UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans are offered in Henderson for 2027?
Henderson is in Clark County, where UnitedHealthcare will offer 15 Medicare Advantage plans for 2027. By plan type, that is 8 HMO-POS plans and 7 PPO plans. Thirteen of the 15 include Part D prescription drug coverage; two do not.
Medicare Advantage availability is set at the county level, so every Henderson ZIP code sees the same UnitedHealthcare lineup as the rest of Clark County. The full roster is in the table below.
Which UnitedHealthcare plans are Special Needs Plans in Clark County?
Six of UnitedHealthcare's 15 plans in Clark County for 2027 are Special Needs Plans (SNPs): five are Dual Eligible SNPs (D-SNPs) for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid, and one is a Chronic Condition SNP (C-SNP) for people with a qualifying long-term condition. There are no Institutional SNPs (I-SNPs) in this lineup.
SNPs have enrollment rules the general plans do not. To join a D-SNP, you need to be enrolled in Medicaid in Nevada; to join a C-SNP, your doctor has to confirm the qualifying condition. If you are not sure whether you qualify, 1-800-MEDICARE or the plan itself can walk through it.
What is new, renamed or not returning for 2027?
Three UnitedHealthcare plans are new in Clark County for 2027: AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx NV-MA2 (an HMO-POS without drug coverage), UHC Dual Complete NV-Q3 (a PPO D-SNP), and UHC Dual Complete NV-S6 (a PPO D-SNP). Two UnitedHealthcare plans from 2026 are not being offered again in 2027.
Two D-SNPs have been renamed: what was UHC Dual Complete NV-S001 is now UHC Dual Complete NV-Q1, and what was UHC Dual Complete NV-S002 is now UHC Dual Complete NV-Q2. A rename on the CMS file does not automatically mean the plan is otherwise identical — the Annual Notice of Change your plan mailed in September is the document that lists any real changes to costs, drug list or network for next year.
If you do nothing and your current plan is being offered again next year, it renews automatically on January 1, 2027 with the changes in that ANOC.
How do I check a UnitedHealthcare plan against my doctors and prescriptions before December 7?
The one tool built to do this is the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. Sign in with your Medicare number, enter your Henderson ZIP code, type in each prescription with its dose, and add the pharmacies you use. Plan Finder will then show every Medicare Advantage plan in Clark County — UnitedHealthcare's and the nine other carriers' — with your drugs priced against each plan's formulary.
A few more steps worth taking before December 7, 2026:
- Call each of your doctors and ask whether they are in-network for the specific plan you are considering next year, by plan name. "UnitedHealthcare" is not specific enough — provider networks vary plan to plan.
- Read the Evidence of Coverage (EOC) for the plan, which is the full rulebook, not the brochure.
- If a benefit matters to you (dental, hearing, transportation, OTC), confirm it in writing on the plan's own documents rather than a sales flyer.
- If you have questions you cannot answer alone, call 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048), open 24/7.
What 2027 Medicare numbers are already known?
For Part D drug coverage, CMS has confirmed the 2027 out-of-pocket cap will be $2,400 (up from $2,100 in 2026) and the maximum Part D deductible a plan can charge will be $700 (up from $615 in 2026). The 2027 Part D national base beneficiary premium is $41.33 — that is a formula figure, not what any specific plan charges.
The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, have not been announced yet. CMS typically publishes those in the fall, usually in November. Treat anything else you see as an estimate until CMS releases the official numbers.
