Aetna's 2027 Medicare Advantage lineup in Henderson: one new plan, one gone, four renamed
HENDERSON, Nev. — As the fall 2026 Annual Enrollment Period gets underway, Aetna's 2027 Medicare Advantage lineup in Clark County — the county Henderson sits in — brings a handful of changes worth a careful read: one plan is new, one is not returning, and four others carry familiar-sounding names that have shifted. If you already have an Aetna Medicare Advantage plan, the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) your plan mailed in late September spells out what will be different on January 1, 2027. You have until December 7, 2026 to switch to a different plan if you want to.

MyMedicarePlans.org is an independent consumer site. We are not Aetna, and Aetna is one of 10 carriers offering Medicare Advantage plans in Clark County next year (72 plans in all).
How many Aetna Medicare Advantage plans are offered in Henderson for 2027?
In Clark County, which is where Henderson sits, Aetna is offering 11 Medicare Advantage plans for 2027. By plan type, that is 7 HMOs and 4 PPOs. Two of the 11 are Special Needs Plans (one D-SNP for people with both Medicare and Medicaid, and one C-SNP for people with a qualifying chronic condition), and 10 of the 11 include Part D prescription drug coverage. The table below lists every Aetna plan available in the county next year.
Keep in mind that plan availability is set at the county level, not the city level — so these counts cover all of Clark County, not just Henderson.
What is new, renamed, or not returning in Aetna's 2027 lineup?
For 2027, Aetna is adding one new plan in Clark County, Aetna Medicare Full Dual (HMO D-SNP), and is not renewing one plan from its 2026 lineup. Four plans carry renamed versions of names Aetna used in 2026:
- Aetna Medicare Partial Dual (HMO D-SNP) — was Aetna Medicare Dual Prime (HMO D-SNP)
- Aetna Medicare Prime (HMO) — was Aetna Medicare Prime Extra (HMO)
- Aetna Medicare Prime Extra (HMO) — was Aetna Medicare Prime (HMO)
- Aetna Medicare Signature (HMO) — was Aetna Medicare Signature Extra (HMO)
- Aetna Medicare Value Care (HMO) — was Aetna Medicare Value Plus (HMO)
A rename matters because the plan you had in 2026 may not be the plan with the same-looking name in 2027. The ANOC is the document that confirms whether your plan's benefits, drug list, network, premium or cost-sharing are changing. If you cannot find yours, you can request a copy from Aetna.
What is the difference between Aetna's HMO, PPO and SNP plans in Clark County?
HMO plans generally ask you to use the plan's network of doctors and hospitals and to pick a primary care doctor. PPO plans usually let you see out-of-network providers, often at a higher cost. Special Needs Plans (SNPs) are built for specific groups of people: a D-SNP serves people enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid, and a C-SNP serves people with a qualifying chronic condition such as diabetes or certain heart or lung conditions. To join a SNP, you have to meet the eligibility rules.
Aetna's 2027 Clark County roster includes all three HMO flavors (standard HMOs, a C-SNP, and D-SNPs) plus PPOs, one of which does not include Part D drug coverage. If you want drug coverage and you choose a Medicare Advantage plan that does not include it, your choices for adding a stand-alone Part D plan are limited — in most cases, enrolling in a separate Part D plan while on an MA plan without drug coverage would disenroll you from the MA plan. Call 1-800-MEDICARE if that applies to you.
How do I check an Aetna plan against my doctors and prescriptions before December 7?
The most reliable way is the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. You can enter your ZIP code, add your prescriptions and preferred pharmacy, and see each plan's full cost-sharing, drug list, and star rating side by side. The Plan Finder also lets you check whether a specific doctor or hospital is listed in a plan's network, though confirming with the provider's office directly is a good second step.
A short checklist for the window before December 7, 2026:
- Read your 2026 plan's ANOC and look for changes to the premium, drug list, network, and extra benefits.
- List your current prescriptions (name, dose, how often).
- List the doctors and hospitals you want to keep using.
- Run that list through medicare.gov's Plan Finder for every plan you are considering.
- If anything is unclear, call 1-800-MEDICARE (available 24/7) or the plan directly.
What else is changing in Medicare for 2027?
A few program-wide figures are already set for 2027. The Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400 (up from $2,100 in 2026), and the Part D maximum deductible rises to $700 (up from $615 in 2026). The Part D national base beneficiary premium for 2027 is $41.33 — that is a formula input CMS uses, not what any particular plan charges.
CMS has not yet announced the 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, or the 2027 IRMAA income brackets and surcharges. Those are typically published later in the fall, usually in November. We will update our coverage when CMS posts them.
If you do nothing during the Annual Enrollment Period, your current plan simply renews for 2027 — provided it is being offered next year — with whatever changes the ANOC describes.
