If you already have a UnitedHealthcare plan in Memphis, nothing happens automatically if you do nothing: your plan renews for 2027 with any changes spelled out in your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC). But this is the window to check whether the 2027 version still fits your doctors, your prescriptions and your budget — and whether another plan in the county fits better.

How many UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans are offered in Memphis for 2027?
UnitedHealthcare has 11 Medicare Advantage plans available in Shelby County — the county Memphis is in — for the 2027 plan year, based on the CMS Landscape Source File. Ten are HMO-POS plans and one is a PPO.
Of those 11 plans, 10 include Part D prescription drug coverage and one is offered without drug coverage. Five are Special Needs Plans, which are built for people who meet specific eligibility rules (see the next section). The full roster is in the table below.
Which UnitedHealthcare Special Needs Plans are available in Shelby County for 2027?
UnitedHealthcare is offering five Special Needs Plans in Shelby County for 2027: three Dual-eligible SNPs (D-SNPs) for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid, and two Chronic-condition SNPs (C-SNPs) for people with certain qualifying conditions. There are no Institutional SNPs (I-SNPs) in this carrier's 2027 Memphis lineup.
The D-SNPs are UHC Dual Complete TN-Q1, UHC Dual Complete TN-Y2 and UHC Dual Complete TN-YL. The C-SNPs are UHC Complete Care TC-0005 and UHC Complete Care Support TC-6. SNP eligibility rules are strict — Medicare.gov and the plan's own materials explain who qualifies.
What is new, renamed or not returning from UnitedHealthcare in Memphis for 2027?
Compared with 2026, UnitedHealthcare has three new Medicare Advantage plans in Shelby County for 2027, two plans that are not returning, and one plan that has been renamed. The three new plans are AARP Medicare Advantage Direct Plus from UHC TN-8 (HMO-POS), UHC Dual Complete TN-Q1 (HMO-POS D-SNP) and UHC Dual Complete TN-Y2 (HMO-POS D-SNP).
The renamed plan is UHC Dual Complete TN-YL (HMO-POS D-SNP), which was called UHC Dual Complete TN-Y001 in 2026. The specifics of what changed inside each plan — benefits, drug list, provider network, cost sharing — live in each plan's 2027 Annual Notice of Change and Evidence of Coverage, not in the CMS availability file.
If one of your current plans is among those not returning, you will get a notice from the carrier and you can either pick another plan during AEP or let Medicare's rules place you back in Original Medicare on January 1, 2027.
How do I check a UnitedHealthcare plan against my doctors and prescriptions before December 7?
Use the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048), which runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Plan Finder lets you enter your ZIP code, add your prescriptions and pharmacy, and see each plan's drug costs and whether a specific pharmacy is in network.
For doctors, hospitals and specialists, the most reliable source is the plan's own provider directory, because networks can change during the year. The plan's Evidence of Coverage (EOC) and Summary of Benefits spell out what is covered and how cost sharing works. Confirm your doctors directly with the plan or the practice before you enroll.
What is changing in Medicare's drug coverage for 2027?
Two Part D numbers are already confirmed for 2027. The Part D out-of-pocket cap on what you pay for covered drugs rises to $2,400 in 2027, up from $2,100 in 2026. The Part D maximum deductible a plan can charge rises to $700 in 2027, up from $615 in 2026.
The coverage gap (the old "donut hole") was eliminated as of 2025, so Part D now has three phases: deductible, initial coverage and catastrophic. The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan — an optional program that spreads your drug costs across the calendar year in monthly bills — continues into 2027.
The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, have not yet been announced. CMS usually publishes those figures later in the fall.
