ANAHEIM, Calif. — Fall 2026. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan in Anaheim, the lineup you'll choose from for 2027 looks different than the one you have today. Twenty-one plans sold in Orange County this year are not coming back, 28 are new, and two carriers — Central Health Medicare Plan and Providence Medicare Advantage Plans — are leaving the county entirely. One carrier, VillageHealth, is new. The window to make a change for 2027 coverage is the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7, 2026.

What is changing for Medicare Advantage in Anaheim for 2027?

Anaheim is in Orange County, where the 2026 Medicare Advantage lineup includes 104 plans from 17 carriers. Two carriers that serve the county in 2026 will not be back for 2027: Central Health Medicare Plan and Providence Medicare Advantage Plans. One carrier is new to the county for 2027: VillageHealth, which is bringing two HMO-POS Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (SCAN DaVita Dialysis Care and SCAN DaVita Dialysis Care Complete) for people with end-stage renal disease.

A heavy share of what's new is Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs), which are built for people living with conditions like diabetes, heart failure, lung disease or end-stage renal disease. You can only enroll in a C-SNP if your condition qualifies.

What should I do if my Medicare Advantage plan is leaving Anaheim?

If your plan is on the "not returning" list, Medicare gives you a Special Enrollment Period. You can use it to join another Medicare Advantage plan (with or without drug coverage), join a stand-alone Part D plan, or go back to Original Medicare.
