Humana's 2027 Medicare Advantage plans in Las Vegas: how to match them to your doctors and drugs
LAS VEGAS — Fall 2026. If you have a Humana Medicare Advantage plan in the Las Vegas area, or you are weighing one for next year, this is the stretch of the calendar when it pays to read carefully. The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7, 2026, and any change you make takes effect January 1, 2027. Humana's full 2027 lineup for Clark County — the county Las Vegas sits in — is set, and it includes two plans that are new for next year. The question for most people is simpler than it looks: do your doctors and your prescriptions still line up with the plan you have, or the plan you are considering?

MyMedicarePlans.org is an independent news and education site. We are not Humana, and Humana is one of 10 carriers offering Medicare Advantage plans in Clark County for 2027 (72 plans in all, across every carrier). This article walks through Humana's 2027 slate only, and how to check any of them against your own care before December 7.
What Humana is offering in Clark County for 2027
For plan year 2027, Humana has 14 Medicare Advantage plans available to people living in Clark County. The split by plan type is 8 HMO plans and 6 PPO plans. Every one of the 14 includes Part D prescription drug coverage built in.
The table below lists every Humana plan by name, along with its plan type and whether drug coverage is included. The plan names come straight from the CMS Medicare Advantage Landscape Source File for 2027.
Special Needs Plans in the lineup
Five of Humana's 14 Clark County plans are Special Needs Plans, which are built for people in specific situations:
- D-SNPs (Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans) are for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid. Humana has 3 D-SNPs in Clark County for 2027: two HMO D-SNPs (Humana Gold Plus SNP-DE H6622-079 and Humana Gold Plus SNP-DE H6622-101) and one PPO D-SNP (HumanaChoice SNP-DE H5216-302).
- C-SNPs (Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans) are for people with certain qualifying chronic conditions. Humana has 2 C-SNPs in the county, both listed as Humana Gold Plus - Diabetes and Heart (HMO C-SNP).
- There are no I-SNPs (Institutional Special Needs Plans) in Humana's Clark County roster for 2027.
If you do not meet the eligibility rules for a Special Needs Plan, you cannot enroll in one. Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE can confirm whether you qualify.
What is new, and what is not returning
Two of Humana's 14 Clark County plans are new for 2027: a Humana Gold Plus - Diabetes and Heart (HMO C-SNP) listing and Humana Gold Plus H1036-344 (HMO). None of the Humana plans that were offered in Clark County for 2026 are being pulled for 2027.
Even when a plan returns under the same name, its details for next year can change — the premium, the drug formulary, the provider network, cost-sharing, extra benefits. Humana will send current members an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) before AEP that spells out exactly what is different for 2027. That mailing is the single most important document to read if you are staying put.
How to check a plan against your doctors and prescriptions
This is the step most people skip, and it is the one that matters. Before you enroll in, keep, or switch to any plan, do three checks:
1. Doctors and hospitals. Pull up the plan's provider directory on Humana.com, or call Humana directly, and confirm each doctor and facility you use is in-network for 2027. Networks can shift from year to year, so a provider who was in-network in 2026 may not be in 2027. 2. Prescriptions. Enter every drug you take — exact name, dose and quantity — into the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. It will show you the plan's 2027 formulary, any tier changes, and whether a drug now requires prior authorization or step therapy. 3. Pharmacy. Confirm the pharmacy you use is a preferred or standard pharmacy for the plan in 2027. The same drug can cost a different amount at different pharmacies within the same plan.
Medicare.gov's Plan Finder is the one tool that lets you compare these details side by side across every Humana plan — and every other carrier's plan — in the county.
What is confirmed for Part D in 2027
A few program-level numbers are already set for 2027 and apply to the drug coverage inside any Medicare Advantage plan that includes it:
- The Part D out-of-pocket cap is $2,400 in 2027, up from $2,100 in 2026.
- The Part D maximum deductible is $700 in 2027, up from $615 in 2026.
- The Part D national base beneficiary premium for 2027 is $41.33. That is a formula input CMS uses, not what any particular plan charges.
The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, had not been announced as of September 2026. CMS typically publishes them later in the fall, usually in November.
The optional Medicare Prescription Payment Plan, which lets you spread drug costs across the calendar year in monthly amounts, continues to be available.
Key dates to keep in mind
- October 15 – December 7, 2026: Annual Enrollment Period. Any change takes effect January 1, 2027.
- January 1 – March 31, 2027: Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period. If you are in a Medicare Advantage plan on January 1, you get one more chance in this window to switch to a different MA plan or return to Original Medicare.
- If you take no action during AEP, your current plan renews automatically for 2027 — with whatever changes are listed in your ANOC — as long as it is being offered next year.
