Key takeaways

  • Clark County will have 74 Medicare Advantage plans from 10 carriers for 2027, down from 12 carriers in 2026 after Kaiser Permanente and Molina Healthcare of Nevada exit.
  • Nine plans are new for 2027 and 11 are leaving; if your plan is one of the 11 not returning, you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period that runs through the end of February 2027.
  • The Annual Enrollment Period is October 15 – December 7, 2026, and any change you make takes effect January 1, 2027.
  • Confirmed 2027 Part D figures: a $2,400 out-of-pocket cap and a $700 maximum deductible; the 2027 Part B premium and IRMAA brackets have not been announced yet.

LAS VEGAS — Fall 2026. The 2027 Medicare Advantage map for Clark County is set, and it looks different from this year's. Two carriers — Kaiser Permanente and Molina Healthcare of Nevada — will not offer Medicare Advantage plans here next year. Nine new plans join the lineup, 11 plans are leaving, and 15 keep most of what they were but under a new name. For anyone enrolled in a plan that is not coming back, there is a special window to switch without waiting for the usual rules.

The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7, 2026. Any choice you make in that window takes effect January 1, 2027. If you do nothing, your current plan simply renews for 2027 — as long as it is still offered — with the changes spelled out in the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) your plan mailed you in September.

Who's offering Medicare Advantage in Clark County next year

Las Vegas sits inside Clark County, and Medicare Advantage plan availability is set at the county level. For 2027, 10 carriers will sell Medicare Advantage plans in the county, offering 74 plans total: 38 HMOs, 21 HMO-POS plans, and 15 PPOs. Of those, 34 are Special Needs Plans (SNPs) built for people with specific chronic conditions, dual Medicare-Medicaid eligibility, or who live in an institution. Every plan includes drug coverage.

The carriers for 2027, in alphabetical order, are:

The full plan-by-plan roster — carrier, plan name, and plan type — is in the table below.

Two carriers that will not be back

Two insurers that offer Medicare Advantage in Clark County in 2026 are leaving at year-end:

If you are in one of these plans, Medicare treats it as a non-renewal. You get a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) that runs from December 8, 2026 through the end of February 2027 to pick a new Medicare Advantage plan or go back to Original Medicare and add a stand-alone Part D plan. Your current coverage still ends December 31, 2026, so most people choose during AEP (October 15 – December 7) to avoid a gap on January 1.

Plans leaving after 2026

In addition to the two full carrier exits, several individual plans are being discontinued. The 11 plans not returning in 2027 are:

Everyone enrolled in one of these plans should have received a non-renewal notice from the plan. The same Special Enrollment Period described above applies.

Nine new plans for 2027

Nine Medicare Advantage plans are being added in Clark County for 2027:

Several are Special Needs Plans aimed at specific groups — people who have both Medicare and Medicaid, or who are managing diabetes and heart conditions. Those plans have eligibility rules, so they are not for everyone. Plan Finder on medicare.gov will tell you whether you qualify.

Renamed, not replaced

Fifteen plans are keeping their place in the lineup but changing names. If your plan's name on your 2027 ID card does not match the one on your 2026 card, that may be why. Examples include Alignment Health's whole HMO family, where numbers like "005," "007" and "008" are being added to the plan names, and Wellcare Dual Access becoming Wellcare SilverSummit Healthplan Dual Liberty. Aetna has shuffled a few of its names as well — notably, "Aetna Medicare Prime" and "Aetna Medicare Prime Extra" swap, so the names look familiar but refer to different plans than they did in 2026. Read your ANOC carefully before assuming your plan is the same as last year's.

What's confirmed about 2027 — and what isn't

CMS has published part of the 2027 picture:

Still not announced as of early fall 2026: the 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets and surcharges. CMS typically publishes those in November. We will update our Nevada coverage when they do.

How to check your own plan

1. Read the ANOC your plan mailed in September. It lists every change for 2027 — premium, deductible, drug list, copays, network. If your plan is being discontinued, that notice will say so. 2. Compare on Plan Finder. Go to medicare.gov/plan-compare, enter your ZIP code and your prescriptions, and sort by what matters to you (total cost, pharmacy, preferred doctors). 3. Call for a human. 1-800-MEDICARE is available 24/7.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

My Medicare Advantage plan is not coming back in 2027. What do I do?
You have a Special Enrollment Period that runs December 8, 2026 through February 28, 2027 to pick a new Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare with a stand-alone Part D plan. Because your current coverage ends December 31, most people choose during the Annual Enrollment Period (through December 7) so the new plan starts January 1 without a gap.
I like my current plan and it is still being offered. Do I need to do anything?
No. If your plan is renewing, your coverage continues automatically on January 1, 2027. That said, read the Annual Notice of Change — premiums, drug tiers and networks can shift year to year, and the plan name may have changed even if nothing else did.
