How many Humana Medicare Advantage plans are offered in Seattle for 2027?

Humana is offering 13 Medicare Advantage plans in King County for 2027, which is the county Seattle is in. By plan type, that is 7 HMO plans and 6 PPO plans. Ten of the 13 include Part D drug coverage; three do not.

The full lineup is in the table on this page. You will see familiar names like the Humana Gold Plus HMO plans, the HumanaChoice PPO plans, and Humana USAA Honor Giveback PPO plans, along with Humana Value Choice (PPO).

Humana is not the only option in the county. CMS lists 10 other carriers offering Medicare Advantage in King County for 2027, for a total of 59 plans across all carriers.

Which Humana Special Needs Plans are available in King County for 2027?

Humana will offer 4 Special Needs Plans in King County for 2027: 3 Dual Eligible SNPs (D-SNPs) and 1 Chronic Condition SNP (C-SNP). There are no Institutional SNPs (I-SNPs) in the Humana 2027 lineup here.

The D-SNPs listed by CMS are Humana Dual Select H5619-165 (HMO D-SNP), Humana Dual Select H5619-166 (HMO D-SNP), and Humana Gold Plus SNP-DE H1036-325 (HMO D-SNP). The C-SNP is Humana Gold Plus - Diabetes and Heart (HMO C-SNP). All four include drug coverage.

D-SNPs are for people with both Medicare and Medicaid. C-SNPs are for people with specific chronic conditions. Eligibility is set by Medicare's rules, not by the carrier, and you can confirm whether you qualify at medicare.gov or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE.

What is new, renamed or not returning for Humana in Seattle in 2027?

For 2027 in King County, Humana has 0 new plans, 2 renamed plans, and 6 plans that are not returning. The two renamed plans, per the CMS files, are Humana Dual Select H5619-166 (HMO D-SNP), which was Humana Gold Plus SNP-DE H5619-166 (HMO D-SNP) in 2026, and Humana Value Choice (PPO), which was HumanaChoice H5216-428 (PPO) in 2026.

A renamed plan is not necessarily the same plan with a new label — benefits, cost sharing, networks and drug lists can also shift. The ANOC your plan sends by late September spells out exactly what is changing on your contract for January 1, 2027.

If you are in one of the six plans not returning, Humana and Medicare will send a non-renewal notice. You can pick another plan during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7, 2026) or use the Special Enrollment Period that applies when a plan leaves.

How do I check a Humana plan against my doctors and prescriptions before December 7?

The most reliable way to check any 2027 plan against your own doctors and medications is the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. Enter your ZIP code, add your prescriptions and your pharmacy, and the tool will show how each plan would handle them for 2027.

A few steps that save headaches:

Nothing happens if you do nothing: your current plan renews for 2027 if it is still offered, with the changes described in your ANOC.

What 2027 Medicare figures should I know while I compare?

CMS has confirmed a few 2027 numbers you can rely on while you compare plans. The Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400 in 2027 (up from $2,100 in 2026). The Part D maximum deductible will be $700 in 2027 (up from $615 in 2026). The Part D national base beneficiary premium for 2027 is $41.33 — that is a formula input CMS uses, not what any particular plan charges.

A few 2027 figures have not yet been announced. The standard Part B premium and deductible for 2027, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, are typically published by CMS in the fall — usually November. Until then, be cautious of anyone quoting those numbers as final.

For 2026 reference: the Part D cap is $2,100, the Part D maximum deductible is $615, the coverage gap has been eliminated since 2025, and IRMAA surcharges start above $109,000 in income for a single filer. The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan, which lets you spread drug costs across the year in level monthly amounts, remains available.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to do anything if I like my Humana plan and it is coming back for 2027?
No. If your plan is being offered again next year, it renews automatically on January 1, 2027. Read the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) that your plan sends by late September so you know what is changing for the new year, and confirm your doctors, pharmacy and prescriptions on medicare.gov if any of those matter to you.
What happens if my Humana plan is one of the six not returning in King County for 2027?
You will get a non-renewal notice from the plan and from Medicare. You can choose a different Medicare Advantage plan or move back to Original Medicare (with or without a stand-alone Part D plan) during the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 – December 7, 2026. Medicare also offers a Special Enrollment Period for people whose plan is leaving; details are at medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE.
Can I switch plans after December 7, 2026?
Yes, in limited ways. If you are already in a Medicare Advantage plan on January 1, you can make one change during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, January 1 – March 31, 2027. Special Enrollment Periods also apply in certain situations, such as moving or losing other coverage.
Does MyMedicarePlans.org sell Humana plans?
No. MyMedicarePlans.org is an independent consumer news and education site. We are not Humana, not an insurance agency, and not affiliated with Medicare or the federal government. For plan details, enrollment and personal eligibility, use medicare.gov, call 1-800-MEDICARE, or contact the plan directly. ## Where to go next Start at medicare.gov to run your own 2027 comparison with your doctors, pharmacy and medications. Call 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048) if you would rather talk to someone.
