MyMedicarePlans.org is an independent consumer site — we are not UnitedHealthcare, and we are not the government. This piece walks through what UnitedHealthcare is offering in the county next year so you can check your doctors, your pharmacy and your prescriptions against the plan you have or are considering.

What UnitedHealthcare is offering in Clark County for 2027

Las Vegas is in Clark County, where Medicare Advantage availability is set. For plan year 2027, UnitedHealthcare's county lineup breaks down this way:

The table below lists every UnitedHealthcare plan available in the county for 2027, with plan type and drug coverage. You can match your plan name to the table to see whether it is returning, renamed, or new.

What's new, what's renamed, what's not returning

Three plans are new to the UnitedHealthcare lineup for 2027:

Two plans are renamed. The plan name on your member ID card may look different in January even if the underlying plan is similar:

Two UnitedHealthcare plans from 2026 are not returning for 2027. If you are in a plan that is leaving, you'll get a non-renewal notice from the carrier and a Special Enrollment Period to pick something else. Your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), which plans mail by late September, is the single best place to see what's happening to your specific plan — premium, copays, drug tiers, pharmacy network, extras — side by side with this year's.

Special Needs Plans in the lineup

UnitedHealthcare's 2027 Clark County lineup includes seven Special Needs Plans: six Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs), for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid, and one Chronic Condition SNP (UHC Complete Care NV-4), for people with a qualifying chronic condition. SNPs have eligibility rules — not everyone can enroll — and benefits are built around the group the plan serves. If you think a SNP might fit, confirm eligibility before you apply.

How to check a plan against your doctors and prescriptions

Before December 7, run a short, specific check on any plan you are considering:

1. Doctors and hospitals. Call each provider's office and ask whether they will be in-network with the exact plan name for 2027 — not just "UnitedHealthcare." Networks are set at the plan level. 2. Prescriptions. On medicare.gov's Plan Finder, enter your drugs and your pharmacy. The tool shows each drug's tier, any restrictions, and your estimated yearly drug cost under that plan's formulary. 3. Pharmacy. Confirm your pharmacy is a preferred or standard in-network pharmacy for the plan. Costs can differ between the two. 4. The ANOC. If you are keeping your current plan, read the ANOC cover to cover. It is the carrier's official statement of what is changing in 2027.

The 2027 numbers that are set — and the ones that aren't

A few program-level figures for 2027 are confirmed:

The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, have not been announced yet. CMS publishes those later in the fall, usually in November. If a 2027 figure is quoted to you now by anyone other than CMS, treat it as an estimate.

You have other options in the county

UnitedHealthcare is one of 10 carriers offering Medicare Advantage in Clark County for 2027. In total, 72 Medicare Advantage plans are available countywide. If a UnitedHealthcare plan doesn't fit after you check your doctors and drugs, you have room to compare — and comparing is free on medicare.gov.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I don't do anything by December 7?
If your current plan is offered again in 2027, you stay in it automatically on January 1 — with the changes listed in your Annual Notice of Change. If your plan is one of the two UnitedHealthcare plans not returning, the carrier will send you a non-renewal letter and you'll get a Special Enrollment Period to choose a different plan.
My plan has a new name on the 2027 list. Is it a different plan?
Not necessarily. UnitedHealthcare renamed two Dual Complete plans for 2027: NV-S001 became NV-Q1, and NV-S002 became NV-Q2. The name on your card may change even when the plan is largely the same. Still read the ANOC — a rename does not mean the benefits are identical.
How do I know if my doctor will take my plan next year?
Call the office and ask about the exact 2027 plan name, not just "UnitedHealthcare" or "AARP Medicare Advantage." Networks are set at the plan level, and a provider can be in-network for one plan and out-of-network for another from the same carrier.
Can I switch plans after December 7?
Yes, in some cases. The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period runs January 1 – March 31, 2027, and lets people already in a Medicare Advantage plan switch to another MA plan or return to Original Medicare once. Special Enrollment Periods also exist for specific situations like a move or losing other coverage. ## Where to get official answers **medicare.gov** — the Plan Finder compares every plan in your ZIP code, with your drugs and pharmacy. **1-800-MEDICARE** (1-800-633-4227), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. **Your plan's Evidence of Coverage and provider/pharmacy directories** — the official source for benefits, network and formulary. **Your Annual Notice of Change** — mailed by late September; the clearest side-by-side of what your plan is doing in 2027.
