North Las Vegas, Nev. — The 2027 Medicare Advantage lineup for North Las Vegas is set, and it looks different from the one on the shelf today. Two carriers are leaving Clark County entirely, nine plans are new, eleven are ending, and about a dozen more are getting new names. If you live here and already have a Medicare Advantage plan, this is the fall to read your mail.

Open enrollment runs from October 15 through December 7, 2026. Any change you make takes effect January 1, 2027.

How many Medicare Advantage plans are offered in North Las Vegas for 2027?

North Las Vegas is in Clark County, where Medicare Advantage availability is set. For the current plan year, the county has 74 Medicare Advantage plans offered by 12 carriers. By plan type, that breaks down to 38 HMOs, 21 HMO-POS plans and 15 PPOs. Thirty-four of those plans are Special Needs Plans, and 71 include Part D drug coverage.

For 2027, CMS data show nine new plans entering the county and eleven leaving, which means the overall count will shift a bit when the new plan year begins on January 1. The table below lists every plan available in Clark County, grouped by carrier.

Which carriers offer Medicare Advantage in Clark County?

Twelve carriers currently offer plans in Clark County. In alphabetical order, they are Aetna (CVS Health), Alignment Health Plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield (HCSC), Centene (WellCare), Champion Health Plan, Elevance Health (Anthem), Humana, Kaiser Permanente, Molina Healthcare of Nevada, SCAN Health Plan, Select Health and UnitedHealthcare.

Two of those names will not be back for 2027: Kaiser Permanente and Molina Healthcare of Nevada. If you are enrolled in one of their plans, you will need to pick a new plan for January 1, 2027, or you will be moved back to Original Medicare.

What Medicare Advantage plans are new in North Las Vegas for 2027?

Nine Medicare Advantage plans are new to Clark County for 2027. They are:

Several of these are Special Needs Plans designed for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid, or who live with specific chronic conditions. The Plan Finder on Medicare.gov will show whether you are eligible.

Which Medicare Advantage plans are not returning in 2027?

Eleven plans will not be offered in Clark County in 2027:

If one of these is your plan, your insurer must send you a non-renewal notice this fall. You will not be automatically switched to another plan.

What happens if my plan is leaving North Las Vegas?

If your Medicare Advantage plan is not being offered in 2027, you get a Special Enrollment Period that runs from December 8, 2026 through the end of February 2027. During that window you can pick another Medicare Advantage plan or go back to Original Medicare and add a stand-alone Part D plan.

If you do nothing, your coverage ends when the plan ends on December 31, 2026, and you default to Original Medicare on January 1, 2027 — without drug coverage unless you add it. That is why reading the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) your plan mailed in September matters, even if you plan to stay put.

Why are some plans just getting new names?

Fifteen plans in Clark County are keeping their contracts but changing names for 2027. That is a paperwork change at the carrier, not a new plan. For example, Aetna Medicare Partial Dual (HMO D-SNP) was called Aetna Medicare Dual Prime (HMO D-SNP) this year, and Wellcare SilverSummit Healthplan Dual Liberty (HMO-POS D-SNP) was called Wellcare Dual Access (HMO-POS D-SNP). A new name does not automatically mean your benefits are the same — check your ANOC for what, if anything, is changing on premium, deductible or coverage.

What else changes for 2027?

A few program-wide numbers are already set for 2027. The Part D out-of-pocket cap moves to $2,400 (from $2,100 in 2026). The maximum Part D deductible moves to $700 (from $615 in 2026). CMS has also set the Part D national base beneficiary premium at $41.33 for 2027; that is a formula input, not what any specific plan charges.

The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, have not been announced yet. CMS typically publishes them later in the fall.

By the numbers

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

When do changes made during open enrollment take effect?
Any change you make between October 15 and December 7, 2026 takes effect January 1, 2027. If you do nothing, your current plan renews automatically for 2027 — as long as it is still being offered — with whatever changes are listed in its Annual Notice of Change.
My Medicare Advantage plan is not being offered next year. What do I do?
Your insurer will send a non-renewal letter this fall. You can use the regular Annual Enrollment Period through December 7, 2026, or a Special Enrollment Period that runs December 8, 2026 through the end of February 2027, to pick a new Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare with a stand-alone Part D plan. Medicare.gov's Plan Finder is the fastest way to see your options.
Does a plan with a new name mean my coverage is changing?
Not by itself. A name change is a carrier decision. But the plan's premium, deductible, drug list or network can still change from one year to the next, so read the Annual Notice of Change your plan mailed you in September before you decide to stay.
Where can I compare the plans available in North Las Vegas?
