What HealthSpring is offering in Oklahoma County for 2027
Oklahoma City is in Oklahoma County, and Medicare Advantage availability is set at the county level. For 2027, CMS lists three HealthSpring Medicare Advantage plans here:
- HealthSpring Preferred (HMO) — new for 2027
- HealthSpring Preferred Savings (HMO)
- HealthSpring True Choice (PPO)
All three include Part D prescription drug coverage. HealthSpring is not offering a Dual Eligible, Chronic Condition or Institutional Special Needs Plan in the county for 2027. The table below lists every plan.
A quick note on the carrier name: CMS files these plans under their parent organization, Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC). They are marketed and sold as HealthSpring plans.
What is new, and what is not returning
For 2027, HealthSpring has one new plan in Oklahoma County — HealthSpring Preferred (HMO) — and no plans leaving. The two plans that were available for 2026, HealthSpring Preferred Savings (HMO) and HealthSpring True Choice (PPO), both return for 2027.
Even when a plan returns under the same name, pieces of it can change year to year: the premium, deductible, copays, provider network, drug list and extra benefits can all shift. Those details are spelled out in the plan's Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), which members should have received by late September. If you can't find yours, call the number on your member ID card and ask for a copy.
How HealthSpring fits into the broader Oklahoma County market
HealthSpring is one of eight carriers offering Medicare Advantage in Oklahoma County for 2027. Across all carriers, there are 59 Medicare Advantage plans available in the county next year. MyMedicarePlans.org is an independent consumer site; we are not HealthSpring and we are not Medicare.
If you want to see how HealthSpring's three plans compare with what other carriers offer, the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov lets you line them up side by side using your own ZIP code.
How to check a plan against your doctors and prescriptions
Before December 7, it's worth running the same two checks on any plan you're considering — including the one you already have:
1. Your doctors and hospitals. Call each provider's office and ask whether they are in-network for the specific plan name and plan year (2027). Networks can change on January 1, so last year's answer may not hold. You can also use the plan's online provider directory. 2. Your prescriptions. Enter each drug, dose and pharmacy into the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. It will show the plan's formulary tier, any restrictions (like prior authorization), and your projected yearly cost at that pharmacy.
If a drug is on a plan's formulary this year, confirm it still is for 2027 — formularies are updated every year.
2027 numbers worth knowing
A few program-level figures for next year are already set:
- The Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400 in 2027 (up from $2,100 in 2026). Once your out-of-pocket spending on covered drugs hits that cap, you pay $0 for covered drugs the rest of the year.
- The Part D maximum deductible rises to $700 in 2027 (up from $615 in 2026). Many plans use a lower deductible or none at all for some drug tiers.
- The Part D national base beneficiary premium for 2027 is $41.33. This is a formula input CMS uses, not what any specific plan charges.
CMS has not yet published the 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible or the 2027 IRMAA income brackets. Those usually come out in the fall, often in November. We'll update our coverage when they do.
If you don't want to make a change
You don't have to do anything. If your HealthSpring plan is offered again in 2027 — and the two returning plans are — it will renew automatically on January 1 with the changes listed in your ANOC. The December 7 date matters only if you want to switch plans, add or drop drug coverage, or move between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
There's also a second window: the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, January 1 through March 31, 2027, lets people already in a Medicare Advantage plan make one change.
