Humana's Tulsa Medicare Advantage plans for 2027: how to match them to your doctors and drugs
Tulsa, Okla. — Fall 2026 is Annual Enrollment season, and Humana's Medicare Advantage lineup in Tulsa County looks a little different on paper for 2027. The carrier is offering 17 Medicare Advantage plans in the county next year, down by one from 2026, with three plans carrying new names. If you are enrolled now, the practical question is not which plan is "best" — it is whether the plan you have (or are considering) still covers your doctors and your prescriptions on January 1.

- 2 HMO plans
- 14 PPO plans
- 1 PFFS (Private Fee-for-Service) plan

The table below lists every Humana plan offered in Tulsa County for 2027, by name and plan type. Humana is one of 8 carriers offering Medicare Advantage in the county next year; across all carriers there are 55 plans. We are not ranking any of them.
What's new, renamed and not returning
For 2027, Humana's Tulsa County lineup shows:
- 0 new plans
- 1 plan not returning
- 3 renamed plans
The renamed ones are:
- Humana Essentials Plus Giveback (PPO) — was HumanaChoice Giveback H7617-056 (PPO)
- Humana Total Complete (HMO) — was Humana Gold Plus H6622-033 (HMO)
- Humana Value Choice (PPO) — was Humana Full Access H7617-053 (PPO)
A rename does not automatically mean the plan works the same way it did in 2026. Benefits, drug lists and provider networks can change from year to year even when the plan ID stays the same. The specifics are in the plan's Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), which current members should have received in September.
How to check a plan against your doctors and your prescriptions
This is the single most useful hour you can spend before December 7. Here is a clean way to do it:
1. Gather your list. Write down every prescription you take (name, dose, how often) and every doctor, specialist and hospital you want to keep seeing. 2. Go to the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov/plan-compare. Enter your ZIP code and your drug list. The tool will show plans available in Tulsa County and estimate your yearly drug costs on each. 3. Check the drug list (formulary). Each plan covers a different set of drugs and places them on different tiers. A drug that was covered in 2026 may be on a different tier — or not covered — in 2027. 4. Check the pharmacy network. Many plans have "preferred" pharmacies where your cost is lower. Make sure the pharmacy you use is in-network. 5. Check your doctors and hospitals. For HMO and PPO plans, use the plan's online provider directory, or call the plan directly. Ask the doctor's billing office too — they usually know which plans they will accept in 2027. 6. For SNPs, check eligibility. D-SNPs require Medicaid eligibility; C-SNPs require a qualifying chronic condition like diabetes or heart disease. The plan will verify this before you enroll.
If anything is unclear, 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048) is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2027 Part D numbers it helps to know
Every Humana plan in the Tulsa County lineup includes drug coverage, so the Part D rules apply. For 2027, CMS has confirmed:
- The Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400 (it is $2,100 in 2026). Once you have paid that much for covered drugs in a calendar year, you pay $0 for the rest of the year.
- The Part D maximum deductible rises to $700 (it is $615 in 2026). Plans can set a lower deductible, but not higher.
- The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan continues to be available. It lets you spread your drug costs across the calendar year in monthly installments instead of paying at the pharmacy counter.
The 2027 Part B standard premium and deductible, and the 2027 IRMAA income brackets, have not been announced yet. CMS typically publishes them in the fall, usually November. We will not estimate them here.
Dates to put on the fridge
- October 15 – December 7, 2026 — Annual Enrollment Period. Changes made in this window take effect January 1, 2027.
- January 1 – March 31, 2027 — Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment. If you are in a Medicare Advantage plan on January 1 and it is not the right fit, you get one chance to switch to another MA plan or go back to Original Medicare (and add a Part D plan).
- Do nothing? Your current plan renews for 2027 if it is still offered, with the changes listed in your ANOC. The one Humana plan not returning will not renew — those members will get a non-renewal notice and should pick a new plan during AEP to avoid a gap.
